An Israeli settler wounded three Palestinians in a shooting attack near the West Bank town of Surif on Saturday, local Palestinian residents reported.

Badawi, a resident of Surif, told Haaretz that his brother went to work in on his plot near the Bat Ayin settlement just east of Surif when a group of about 10 settlers arrived and started throwing stones at him.

After his brother called him for help, Badawi and his son, Shadi, were pelted with stones upon arriving at the scene and threw stones in response. One of the settlers began shooting at Badawi's brother's vehicle, which had children in it, before he started firing towards the men, wounding the three family members.

The three were taken to a nearby hospital with light and moderate wounds, and one of them underwent surgery.

About 10 settlers and seven Palestinians – including two children – were present at the scene.

The police have yet to respond to Haaretz's queries concerning the incident.
