Gaza Projectile Launched at Southern Israel as Cross-border Attacks Continue
Meanwhile, suspected booby-trapped balloons reported in four different places in southern Israel

A projectile was fired at border communities near Gaza on Saturday evening, the military said. According to local authorities, it landed in an open area. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
Several lawmakers, including Kahol Lavan Chairman Benny Gantz, were in the kibbutz of Nahal Oz when sirens sounded in the area.
Earlier Saturday, police sappers were called to four different places in southern Israel where balloons suspected to be booby-trapped were found.
In the early hours of Saturday, the Israeli army attacked several Hamas targets in the northern Gaza Strip in response to two Gaza rockets that were fired at Israel on Friday evening.
Among the targets attacked were weapons storage facilities and an underground infrastructure used by Hamas, said the IDF.
Earlier Friday evening, two Gaza rockets were fired at Israel, the Israeli military said. One of the rockets was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system and the other fell in an open area.
No injuries or damage were caused.

Also Friday, the Israeli army struck Hamas targets in Gaza in retaliation for three mortar shells that were launched at the south. One of the mortar shells was intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system; the other two had landed in open areas.
Shortly thereafter, an Israeli tank struck what Israel said was a military post used by Hamas.
