Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met Friday with his Romanian counterpart in Jerusalem and asked her to act to stop the European Union's "bad resolutions against Israel."

Netanyahu told Prime Minister Viorica Dancila that he hopes she'll move the Romanian embassy to Jerusalem. "We wait for you in Jerusalem," he said.

In April, Dancila submitted a draft resolution to the cabinet that would move the Romanian embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The two premiers discussed Iran's agression in the region as well as its attempt to entrench in Syria. Netanyahu told Dancila that Israel's actions against terror protect not only Israel, but Europe as well.

"The relations between Israel and Romania are fantastic and they will be made even stronger by our visit," Netnayahu told the Romanian prime minister.

Netanyahu is expected to leave for Chad on Saturday night nearly half a decade after the Muslim-majority African country severed relations with Israel, for a visit that will include the formal renewal of ties. The one-day trip will be the first-ever to Chad by an Israeli premier.
