Palestinian Man Shot by Israeli Guard at West Bank Checkpoint
Security guards say the man, 55, ran toward the checkpoint in a suspicious manner ■ No weapons were found on the man, who is seriously wounded

A 55-year-old Palestinian man was seriously wounded Monday after being shot by an Israeli security guard at a checkpoint near the West Bank city of Tul Karem. The man was evacuated to a hospital in Israel.
According to security guards who were standing at the checkpoint, the man was shot after he ran toward them in a suspicious manner. No weapons were found on the man, however, and the event is being examined.
Meanwhile, clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces erupted in Nabi Saleh in the West Bank. According to the ministry of health in Ramallah, three demonstrators were wounded by live ammunition in the legs and evacuated to a nearby hospital in moderate condition.
