According to the indictment, during the period of time between September 2016 and her arrest last month, Abtsem Moussa received approval to enter Israel 10 times to accompany her sister, a cancer patient, to medical treatments at a hospital.
On April 19, Moussa and her sister were said to have left their home in Gaza for the Erez border crossing and the al-Mutla'a hospital in Jerusalem. During security checks, the sisters were found to have four tubes, three of which were labeled as holding the medicinal cream Silverol. The fourth was only labeled as medicine. The tubes actually contained the explosive nitroglycerin.
The indictment claimed that a member of Hamas, who identity remains unknown to the prosecution, asked Moussa to give the tubes to a female Arab resident of Israel called "Um Shadi Husseini," who's really identity is also unknown. The smuggling attempt was apparently made with the intention of carrying out one or several terror attacks.
In the prosecution's request that Moussa's remand be extended, it was said that she admitted during questioning that she knew the person who gave her the tubes was a member of Hamas.
