A Palestinian was shot dead by Israeli Border Police early on Wednesday during a raid on a weapons-manufacturing facility north of Jerusalem.

Border Police officers opened fire when a car sped toward them during the raid in the village of A-Ram, the Israeli military said. The officers said that they shot at the car because their lives were in danger.

A Palestinian man, identified as Anwar Al-Salaymeh, 24, from Shuafat, was killed in the incident. Another 20-year-old Palestinian was wounded and a third was arrested.
