Body of Young Woman Found in Woods in Lower Galilee, Murder Suspected
Victim identified as a 19-year-old who is known to local welfare authorities.

The body of a young woman with serious injuries was discovered after midnight on Tuesday in a wooded area near Hamovil Junction in the Lower Galilee.

She was identified as a 19-year-old who is known to local welfare authorities, but her name and other details were not released and a gag order was imposed on the investigation.
The police said they believe she was murdered Tuesday evening. The body was sent to the Abu Kabir Institute of Forensic Medicine, in Tel Aviv, for an autopsy.
On November 24 the bodies of a woman, 60, and her daughter, 28, were found in a car in Ramle, in central Israel, with fatal bullet wounds. The police suspect the double murder was part of a feud between warring clans in the city. (Noa Shpigel)
