Two Palestinians were killed in clashes with Israeli security forces in the West Bank and in the Gaza Strip on Friday, according to Palestinian reports.

The West Bank victim was identified as 22-year-old Jihad Ersheid, who was reportedly shot in the chest with live ammunition during clashes in Hebron. His sister, Dania Ersheid, was shot and killed by Israeli security forces at the Cave of the Patriarchs in October after allegedly pulling out a knife. Amnesty, citing unidentified witnesses, said at the time that she was shot as she raised her hands during a security check, yelling at border police that she did not have a knife.

Another man was reportedly shot dead in clashes near the Gaza border fence in the center of the Strip. He was identified as Sami Maadi, 38.

In two other incidents on Friday, an attempted car-ramming attack near Hebron was foiled after the driver was shot and killed at the scene, near Halhul junction. Hours earlier, shots were fired at the West Bank's Gilboa checkpoint Friday morning. None were wounded, and the assailant was shot and initially fled before he was apprehended by Palestinian security forces.

The Palestinian was taken for medical treatement at a government facility in Jenin with wounds in his arms and legs.

Separate clashes also erupted between Palestinians and Israeli forces in Kafr Kadum and Silwad.

Also on Friday, the Shin Bet arrested the Palestinian assailant behind Thursday's car-ramming attack that wounded four Israeli soldiers, one seriously.

On Wednesday, a former member of the Jewish Underground and his wife were wounded in a shooting attack in the West Bank, hours after two others were wounded in a stabbing attack near Hebron.
