Two Wounded in Stabbing Attack in Hebron, Assailant Shot Dead

One sustained moderate wounds while the other - son of former Knesset member Orit Strock - was lightly hurt, according to emergency response services.

A soldier and a civilian were wounded in a stabbing attack in Hebron early on Wednesday afternoon, according to initial reports. The assailant was shot and killed.

One of the wounded is the son of former Knesset member Orit Strock (Bayit Yehudi).

The assailant was identified as Abad a-Rachman Yusori Maswada, the cousin of Ihav Maswada, who stabbed a man in his 40s on Monday in Hebron.

The victim in Monday's attack critically wounded and his attacker was killed by fire from Israel Border Policemen.

The soldier sustained moderate knife injuries to his uppper body while the Strock's son was lightly hurt in the leg, according to the Magen David Adom emergency response service. The two were evacuated to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. They are both in their 20s.
