Israel Makes Headway in Jewish Terror Case, but Details Under Wraps
Shin Bet and Israel Police say they are optimistic about bringing the perpetrators of the crime to justice, after a coordinated effort to solve the case.
Israeli security forces have made substantial progress in the investigation of a Jewish terror incident, after devoting significant effort to solving the case. The case is under a blanket gag-order and the details of the investigation are barred from publication, however Israel Police and the Shin Bet security service have expressed optimism about the likelihood of bringing the perpetrators to justice.

The defense establishment said it has gone to great efforts to collect the evidence needed to file indictments against those involved in incidents labeled by Israel as Jewish terror – the majority of which remain unsolved.
The break in the current investigation was the result of cooperation between the Shin Bet's Investigation Department, the Shin Bet's Judea and Samaria Division, the police's nationalistic crimes unit, and the Attorney General and State Prosecutors office.
Meanwhile, the Jerusalem District Court convicted two Israeli Jews in the murder of Palestinian youth Muhammad Abu Khdeir in July 2014. The conviction of the main suspect, Yosef Haim Ben-David, was suspended due to a last-minute psychiatric evaluation that claimed he was not responsible for his actions at the time of the murder.
