A vehicle was set on fire in Umm Tuba, a neighborhood of Tsur Baher in East Jerusalem on Saturday night, in a suspected hate crime. Hebrew graffiti reading "Death to Arabs" and "Administrative revenge" were spray-painted nearby.

Firefighters called to the scene at around 3:00 A.M. to put out a burning vehicle. They prevented the fire from spreading to nearby structures and fields. An initial investigation established arson as the cause of the fire.

Israel Police have launched an investigation.

Last June, the landmark Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes at Tabgha, on the Sea of Galilee, was set on fire by two Jewish assailants.

Yinon Reuveni, 20, was charged with setting fire to the church out of racist motivations. His co-defendant, Yehuda Asraf, 19, was charged with assisting him and providing the car used to carry out the crime. The church stands on site where Christians believe Jesus preformed the miracle of the multiplication of loaves and fishes, and is home to renowned, striking mosaics.
