As Paul begins a tour of Iowa, the media is focused on conservatives' concerns about past statements he's made calling for an end to foreign aid, including to Israel. To figure out exaclty how Paul feels about the issue, Stewart shows Paul in a clip questioning (in reference to Israel), "Should we be giving free money or welfare to a rich nation?"
Stewart wasn't convinced, still questioning exactly how Paul felt about foreign aid to Israel. He then showed a clip with Wolf Blitzer interviewing Paul: "Just to be precise, end all foreign aid, including the foreign aid to Israel? Is that correct?" to which Paul answered, "Yes." "That's going to leave a bruise," concluded Stewart.
