Haaretz's diplomatic correspondent, Barak Ravid, was a guest on CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper" on Monday to discuss John Kerry's failed efforts at procuring a cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.

Ravid told Tapper that Kerry's efforts were admirable, calling the secretary of state "a true friend of Israel.
"However, there is a certain point when you are just trying too much," Ravid added.
Calling Kerry a "lone ranger" on this issue, Ravid stated that Kerry was working on the cease-fire proposal while all the relevant experts were sitting on the sidelines.
Ravid rhetorically asked, "One has to wonder: Why is this process dealt with in such a wrong way?"
