Israel's Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer has landed himself in hot water with a Twitter Q&A on Operation Protective Edge that is scheduled for 8:30 A.M. ET on Thursday.

Since announcing the session with the hashtag #AskDermer, the Israeli envoy has been inundated with tough questions from pro-Palestinian Twitter users. One has to ask how he didn't see that one coming. On Thursday, #AskDermer was trending worldwide on Twitter.

A number of questions referred to four children killed on a Gaza beach by IDF shelling on Wednesday:

Other questions included, "Why does the world not trust Israel anymore?," "Are you proud that your country killed over 200 and seriously injured more than 1200?," "Why is the only thing you tweeted from white house iftar some pro-israel propaganda? Did no one teach you tact?," and " #AskDermer - who's designing your horrible, disgusting propaganda infographics?"
