Report: Palestinian Youth Wounded by IDF Dies of Wounds in Gaza

An 18-year-old Palestinian who was wounded on Thursday by IDF gunfire east of the Jabalya refugee camp in the eastern Gaza Strip died on Friday, according to reports from Gaza.

On Thursday night, the IDF attacked targets in the Gaza Strip in response to the firing of a rocket at Israel earlier that day. According to a statement issued by the IDF, the Israel Air Force launched three attacks on targets in the northern Gaza Strip, bombing three concealed rocket launchers and an observation post.

Earlier on Thursday, an IDF military observation post identified a number of Palestinians approaching the security force in the northern Gaza Strip. According to military sources, the Palestinians tried to sabotage the fence. IDF troops in the area warned them to stay away from the fence; when the warnings went unheeded, the troops opened fire. One Palestinian was wounded; according to the IDF, he was shot in both legs.

On Monday, a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip landed in open spaces in the Sha’ar Hanegev Regional Council. There were no injuries and no damage was caused.
