Snow begins to fall in the highest neighborhoods of Safed.

Rain falls from northern Israel to the Negev, accompanied by hail and thunderstorms. There is a risk of flooding for streams in eastern Israel, as well as for other locations throughout the country.
Mount Hermon ski site and road leading to it closed after snow fell in the area overnight.
It may not compare to the blizzard on the U.S. East Coast, but a cold wave accompanied by large amounts of rain and even snow is expected to hit Israel, starting Sunday morning. The snow will begin to fall in the northern mountains and spread by Tuesday to the central mountains and the Jerusalem area.
Meteo Tech forecast that rain will begin on Sunday morning and spread from the north to the Negev, accompanied by thunderstorms and hail. Temperatures will drop and streams in the eastern regions may flood.
Snow is expected to fall in the northern Golan Heights and on Galilee mountaintops higher than 800 meters (2,625 feet). At night, the snow may spread to the central mountains east of Ramallah and Hebron.
The stormy weather will continue Monday and snow will fall on Mount Hermon and in the Golan Heights.
It will become colder on Monday night, with a rising chance of snow in the Jerusalem area. However, its still not clear if the snow will settle on the ground or melt immediately.
