The Tokyo Olympics, belatedly being held spectator-free under the shadow of the pandemic, are bound to disappoint many elite athletes who spent their lives training for their moment of glory in front of cheering crowds with their proud parents in the stands. 

But for others, like the members of Israel’s baseball team, the pandemic is just another unexpected twist in an unlikely journey.
