Tell us about yourself.
I’m British, I grew up in London and in Oxford. In the past I was an academic, I have a Ph.D. in molecular biology, but fortunately my academic career led me to a different place. In 1976 [the year Fulder turned 30], I was sent to teach chemistry at a university in India. India astounded me. All the crazy sadhus – the spiritual teachers, ascetics – on the banks of the Ganges. I learned so much there, especially about the way spirituality is integrated in our everyday life. On the street.
