The director of the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees in Gaza apologized Tuesday for remarks he made to Channel 12 stating that it was his impression that with few exceptions, the targets Israel struck during the recent Gaza war were not civilians. Hamas and Palestinian human rights groups harshly criticized his remarks prior to his apology.
