The Knesset is expected to begin discussions Tuesday on the 2021–2022 budget and to bring it to a vote this week. That comes after two years in which the state has been functioning without any approved budget. If the Knesset votes to pass the budget, it will also bring political stability to the 61-member coalition headed by Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and alternate Prime Minister Yair Lapid.
