Knowing how difficult it is to defeat a sitting PM, Netanyahu delegitimizes Bennett, but if he fails, he’ll likely leave for more lucrative pastures
Two entire weeks have passed since Naftali Bennett replaced Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister and strangely enough, Israel is still here. We’re even getting used to that new title “opposition leader Netanyahu.” All of us, that is, except Netanyahu himself, whose aides have been asking other opposition members to continue referring to him as “prime minister.” He smiles benevolently upon those who do so.
