It’s doubtful whether there’s a term that riles, irritates, infuriates and insults Israel and Israelis, as well as many Jews outside Israel, more than “apartheid.” Or, more precisely, being labeled “an apartheid state.”

Apartheid is a vile, objectionable, ugly and racist system that Israelis find profoundly disgusting and offensive to even be mentioned in connection with. It runs contrary to everything we believe and perceive ourselves to be.
