Three Australian sisters who were allegedly sexual abused by their former school principal celebrated what they called “incredible” and “staggering” news, after learning Tuesday that Malka Leifer is finally set to stand trial in an Australian courtroom.

Israel’s Supreme Court denied Leifer’s appeal of a court decision ordering her extradition. With the appeals process exhausted, the task now falls to Justice Minister Avi Nissenkorn to sign off on Leifer’s extradition order, after which Israel will have 60 days to send her back to Australia.
