Nir Hefetz was the third and last of Benjamin Netanyahu’s former aides who turned state’s evidence against him. But he was the first to take the stand in the corruption trial against the former prime minister. Hefetz’s testimony and cross-examination, which started Monday, is expected to take weeks and was dominating headlines even before it began.
