After a day of denials, the military acquiesced and cleared for publication the hidden clause in the deal facilitating the return of the young Israeli woman who crossed the border to Syria. In addition to the return of two Syrian shepherds and lessening the sentence of a Druze resident of the Golan Heights, Israel gave Syria additional compensation, suggested by Russia: funding for the purchase of a large number of coronavirus vaccines (likely hundreds of thousands of them). This is the Russian-produced Sputnik vaccine, which most countries in the region aren't eager for, preferring the vaccines developed in the U.S. and Europe
