While the Knesset has never been known for polite and decorous exchanges, Likud’s Miki Zohar, a close ally of former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, broke new ground on Monday when he demanded that a committee chairwoman respond to him “like a good girl.”

Zohar made his remarks to Idit Silman, chair of the Arrangements Committee and a member of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s right-wing Yamina party.
