Double standards, eyelash-batting, manipulation and trafficking in secret information are a seasonal recurrence among senior security establishment figures.
They deploy the Israeli army’s information security unit, the director of security of the defense establishment, or the Mossad’s chief security officer, at will, to prevent information from being published. But when it suits them, particularly if there is good publicity and an ego boost involved, they will ignore military censor prohibitions and reveal top secret information.
