Signs are mounting that Israel is beginning to return to a measure of sanity. That’s still not true of the political crisis, where Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s attempts to cling to power are eliciting both logical contortions and hysterical responses from his disciples. But at least with regard to the coronavirus pandemic, which continues to wane here thanks to the successful vaccination campaign, common sense is beginning to prevail.
