The first security test of the Bennett-Lapid government passed this week with relative success. The unnecessary Flag March, which had been approved by the Netanyahu government, provoked the expected disturbance in East Jerusalem without reigniting the Gaza Strip yet.

The Hamas leadership, despite its threats to take action for Jerusalem, didn’t order rockets fired at the city – the Palestinians sufficed with sending incendiary balloons into the Israeli fields across the border.
