For 28 days Benjamin Netanyahu waited anxiously for a call from his “close friend of 30 years,” U.S. President Joe Biden.
When the call finally came on Wednesday evening, Netanyahu was jubilant. It was “very warm and friendly and continued for approximately one hour,” he said in a statement. He then proceeded to thank Biden in a typically Netanyahu-esque way: he eulogized Rush Limbaugh. Nothing makes more sense in the prime minister’s world.
