When police officers shot Jana Kiswani, 16, and her father Mohammed Kiswani in Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood last week, it was just one of dozens of reported incidents within a month involving excessive force against Palestinians who were not being violent. Several of the incidents involving excessive police force took place under the command of Chief Superintendent Ronen Hazut, the commander of the Shalem police station in Jerusalem.
