Israel Police announced on Tuesday that the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv highway was reopened, after police have blocked it earlier following a truck accident.

The truck, which was carrying a tractor, crashed into an access bridge above Route 1 that leads to Ben-Gurion International Airport.

Netivei Israel, the national transport infrastructure company, estimates it would take three to six hours for the obstruction causing the congestion to be cleared.

Police blocked Route 1 at its western section.
