Right-wing Gang Vandalizes Palestinian Cars Near Jerusalem's Damascus Gate
Israel Police is investigating the attack by 20 youths, which follows a similar incident in Sheikh Jarrah last week

A group of about 20 right-wing youths vandalized 12 cars in the Palestinian East Jerusalem neighborhood of Bab a-Zahara on Saturday night.
Some wore masks as they threw stones at the cars parked in the neighborhood at around 1 A.M., which is close to Jerusalem's Damascus Gate.
Police said that they sent forces to the scene to gather evidence and scan the area for suspects immediately after the attack, and that they have opened an investigation.

The Israeli civil rights organization Tag Meir, released a statement condemning the violence in East Jerusalem saying "we must stop the far-right activists who seek to make our lives unbearable."
Last Thursday, a similar attack occurred in the nearby Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and included a vehicle in which the driver was pepper sprayed. Police arrested two suspects in the incident on the same day.
