The 21-year-old suspect from West Bank is being treated for wounds

A 21-year-old Palestinian man was shot by a police officer after he pulled a knife on Monday night, Israel Police said.

According to police, the incident in the city of Hadera occurred during police patrols, when a man who roused their suspicion was asked to identify himself. The suspect then pulled out a knife and  tried to stab a policeman. A this point, police said, he was shot. 

According to the police, the suspect, from the West Bank, received medical treatment after officers removed a suspicious device they found near him.
