Inter Aliyah’s unbeaten run in Liga Gimmel play stretched to five games following yet another win, this time a 6-0 shutout at league basement resident Pardes Katz.

The teams met in Moshav Matzliach, where the away side controlled proceedings early on and was eventually rewarded for its pressure with a goal from Yoni Golfor.

After the break, the floodgates really opened as both Evyatar Erez and Azano Aristo grabbed braces, while Jaime Kauffman also got in on the act to secure a convincing win on the road. The victory lifted Inter into sixth place in the table, just three points off leader Shikma Hen.

On Saturday night, Inter Aliyah’s B squad met a tougher challenge in Ganei Tikva in the International Football League of Israel, with the two squads sharing the spoils after a drama-filled 90 minutes at Beit Dani ended in a 2-2 draw.

Inter found itself down 1-0 at halftime and could not have too many complaints over the scoreline, having failed to really test the opposition keeper.

Yet that all changed only after center-back Carl Peters was sent off for a second bookable defense. Going down to 10 men sparked the home side into action and Inter rallied to score two goals in quick succession, thanks to Ran Sarusi and Dani Mizrahi. Yet, the fairy-tale ending was not to be as Ganei Tikva found a last-minute goal to eke out the draw.
