A rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip Friday toward southern Israel, the Israeli army said, reporting no damage or casualties.

After rocket sirens sounded off at Netiv Ha'asara, a Gaza border community, the Israeli army confirmed one rocket was launched from from the Strip.

Two weeks ago, rockets were launched from the Gaza Strip at the Eshkol Regional Council in southern Israel. The IDF responded by attacking a Hamas military position in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to the military, the Israel Air Force struck about ten Hamas targets in the the strip, including a munitions factory, a training facility and an underground infrastructure.The Islamic Jihad's military wing announced it was responsible for the launch.
