Four fires were started in southern Israel by incendiary balloons launched from the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, rescue services said.
The blazes came after the air force struck Hamas targets in Gaza overnight in response to at least 20 fires started by Gaza balloons on Tuesday, in the first such strikes since the cease-fire that ended 11 days of conflict between Israel and Hamas last month.
Most of Wednesday's blazes were brush fires in the Eshkol region and they were all successfully brought under control, authorities said.
On Tuesday, balloons were launched from Gaza as thousands of Israelis took part in the controversial right-wing Flag March in Jerusalem.
Both Israel and Hamas have said the Egyptian brokered cease-fire signed last month is fragile.
