A 17-year-old girl was found dead in the village of Kisra-Samia. Medical services were called to the scene after receiving a call about an injured girl, but pronounced her dead when they arrived at the scene.
A gag order has been clamped on the investigation.
Paramedic Gilad Yosef said a rescue crew had recovered the lifeless body of the girl, with signs of extreme violence.
“We tried to administer treatment but her wounds were too severe and we had to determine her death at the scene,” Yosef said.
Village residents said the 11th grader’s family grew concerned when she failed to return home from school, and didn’t answer her cellphone. The park where she was found is 100 meters from their home.
Earlier on Tuesday, a 20-year-old woman was found dead, her corpse also showing signs of extreme violence. The body was recovered near the Migdal intersection opposite the Sea of Galilee. Police who arrived at the scene suspect she was murdered. Paramedics believe her body was dumped by the roadside two hours before it was found, with no signs indicating she had been thrown from a moving vehicle.
Two months ago, Huda Abu Sarari, a divorced mother of four, was stabbed to death in her parents’ apartment in Jaffa. The suspect is the woman’s brother, who was apprehended after fleeing the scene. Her husband, who was in the vehicle with her, was arrested on suspicion of involvement in her slaying.
