The past two weeks have been warm and comfortable, but Israelis can begin getting out their umbrellas - this weekend is expected to be cooler. Rain will begin in the north today, spreading gradually to the center and continuing intermittently until Saturday.
It will also become cooler, although no winter temperatures yet - the mercury will fall to 23 degrees Celsius in Safed and 24 in Jerusalem, while residents of Tel Aviv will enjoy 27-degree weather. It will be 26 degrees in Tiberias and Nazareth.
The rain will grow heavier tomorrow, and temperatures will continue to drop below seasonal norms, staying there through Saturday.
