Date Gone Bad Ends in Woman's Defenestration in Rehovot

19-year-old woman sustains minor injuries after thrown out of second storey window in Rehovot.

A 19-year-old woman was thrown from an apartment window after a date gone bad early Tuesday morning, sustaining minor injuries.

Police are still searching for the perpetrator.

The Rosh Ha'ayin woman was apparently pushed out of a second-floor Rehovot apartment window following an argument.

The woman, who was taken to Kaplan hospital for treatment, said her date had threatened her with a knife as well.

The incident occurred at an apartment rented by a group of lone soldiers. The woman said she had spent Simhat Torah eve with the man, who later took her to his home, where they spent the night. An argument broke out in the early morning hours, and the man threatened her with a knife. A short struggle followed, and as the two neared a window, the suspect threw her out.

Bystanders quickly called for help, and an ambulance arrived within minutes.

Police began searching for the suspect immediately, and questioned three other people who had been in the apartment, but they claimed they did not know the man.
