FM Lieberman: Politicians Visiting Temple Mount - Headline-chasing Idiocy
Right-wing members of the Israeli government and other MKs are pushing to remove restrictions preventing Jews from praying at the Jerusalem holy site.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman on Thursday berated right-wing politicians for exploiting tensions in Jerusalem, telling Israel Radio on Thursday that Israeli ministers and MKs visiting the Temple Mount was "idiocy" and was driven by "cheap headline seeking."

Right-wing members of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party and other hardline lawmakers are pushing the government to remove restrictions preventing Jews from praying at the Jerusalem holy site at the center of the tensions, known to Jews as the Temple Mount and to Muslims as the Noble Sanctuary.
On Wednesday a Hamas militant slammed a minivan into a crowd waiting for a train in Jerusalem, killing one person and wounding 13, before being shot dead himself.
The man's wife said he had been angered by a confrontation between police and Palestinians at the site earlier in the day.
