David Menahem Gordon had been missing since Sunday. IDF launches investigation into his death.

IDF Spokesman Office announced Tuesday that Cpl. David Menahem Gordon, who had been missing since Sunday, was found dead in central Israel. His weapon was found at his side.
The army said his family has been notified, and his death is being investigated.
Gordon, who was 21, was last seen on Sunday around noon in the area of the Medical Corp Facility at the Tzrifin military base.
In a post on his Facebook wall, Gordon wrote last month, "Unbelievably overwhelmed, not from this mission but from the support and messages of encouragement from family, friends and strangers. I am OK and I've never felt more loved. Thank you all! Taking a short break and then I'm off again."
