Three Palestinians were wounded Tuesday in clashes with Israeli soldiers in the northern Gaza Strip near the perimeter fence.

Palestinians said a press photographer had a moderate gunshot wound to the leg, while two other people were suffering from tear-gas inhalation. The Israel Defense Forces said hundreds of Palestinians had gathered in the area and threw stones at soldiers. The army responded with crowd-dispersal measures and later gunfire.

On Friday the IDF had fired at four Palestinians who were approaching the perimeter fence in northern Gaza, near kibbutz Kfar Aza on the Israeli side of the border. The IDF said the Palestinians were trying to damage the fence.

Also Friday, hundreds of Palestinians clashed with Israeli forces in Hebron and elsewhere in the West Bank during marches marking the 20th anniversary of the killing of 29 Muslim worshippers in Hebron.

In Hebron on Friday, Palestinians cited 20 victims of gas inhalation and rubber-coated bullets, while the IDF said five Palestinians had been wounded by rubber-coated bullets. Palestinians said 10 people had been arrested, the IDF said three.
