Ax-wielding Palestinian Shot and Killed by Israeli Security Forces
Palestinian man rams into jeep carrying four Shin Bet officials and attacks them with an ax before being shot dead.
A Palestinian man was shot and killed by Israeli security forces in a supsected terror attack in the in the northern West Bank on Monday morning. Four Israeli Shin Bet officers were lighly wounded in the incident.
According to the Shin Bet, a Palestinian vehicle rammed head on into the jeep carrying four Shin Bet officials on the road between the Shavei Shomron and Einav settlements, causing it to overturn and lightly wounded the four passengers.
According to the Shin Bet, the Palestinain driver, thought to be a resident of Tul Karm, then stepped out of thecar and headed toward the jeep, threatening the Shin Bet officers with an axe while screaming "Allah Huakbar" (God is Great).
The man managed to wound two security officers before being shot dead. The Shin Bet reports that initial findings indicate this was a terrorist attack, and are looking further into the matter.
