Israeli fan girls get ready: After much speculation, it was announced Sunday that Justin Bieber will give a one-night-only performance at Tel Aviv's Park Hayarkon on April 14.

Bieber's managers signed the contract that will bring the Canadian pop performer to Israel for the first time. The Israeli production team for the scheduled concert will leave Sunday night for the United States to meet with Bieber's U.S. production team to work out details and logistics.

Israeli agents have been working for months to try and get Bieber to schedule a show here. The Peres Center for Peace also shared in courting the young star. However, in the end, it was international talent agent Marcel Abraham, who is responsible for bringing such acts as Leonard Cohen, Elton John and Metallica to Israel, that closed the deal.

Bieber is expected to appear in front of a crowd of about 70,000 fans. He will be performing on the same stage that recently played host to such acts as Madonna and Linkin Park. The show will likely feature hits by the young star such as "One Time," "Love Me" and "Somebody to Love."

Israeli fans will have to wait a little longer before stampeding toward ticket counters, as the price of admission has not yet been set.

Justin Bieber is considered one of the major breakthrough artists of the past couple of years. He first gained fame at the age of 13 by uploading YouTube videos of himself singing covers of various popular songs. His first album, "My World," enjoyed significant commercial success, and his second album, "My World 2.0," has sold millions of copies worldwide.

In recent months, Bieber's hits have been climbing music charts internationally, and the artist recently picked up four major awards at the American Music Awards (AMAs), including the award for Artist of the Year.
