Maccabi Haifa yesterday accused Boca Juniors of withholding information after tests revealed that Argentine midfielder Victor Oramzabal was suffering from a herniated disc.
A source at the club said there was no way such an injury could develop overnight, and that the player had not denied that the injury was not recent. "It is obviously an injury that Oramzabal is carrying from his time with Boca," the source said. "It is unacceptable that such a respectable club did not hand over to us the relevant information."
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Nir Davidovich and forward Yaniv Katan separately told the club yesterday that they want to leave Haifa before their contracts expire at the end of the current season. Davidovich told club president Uzi Mor that he had received offers from Europe. Both Werder Bremen and Kaiserslauten have been mentioned in connection with the Israel `keeper. Mor told Davidovich that the club would decide over the next few days the sum it would demand for his transfer.
