Yesha Won't Comment on Removal of 8 Outposts
The Yesha Council of Settlements yesterday refused to comment on a Defense Ministry announcement that the council evacuated another eight illegal outposts in the West Bank.
Council sources said the settlement movement "deals with building, not dismantling," but the same sources noted that none of the outposts so far removed under orders from Defense Minister Benjamin Ben-Eliezer had been populated.
The ministry said that the following outposts were among those removed:
l At the Jip junction, near Kedumim
l West Kochav Yaakov, east of Ramallah
l South Ofra, in the Ramallah area
l Nofei Prat, near Kfar Adumim, east of Jerusalem
l Hirbat Alamit, near Anatot in East Jerusalem
l Havat Maon, south of Hebron.
