The Neviot Road Race cycling league gets underway tomorrow in Nitzanim. Hundreds of riders are expected to participate in the race, which offers prizes totaling NIS 3,000. The elite men's, women's and youth race start at 8 A.M. from Kibbutz Nitzanim and will take either a 107-kilometer route (men and youth) or a 77-kilometer route (women). The circular course follows a 15-kilometer route between Kibbutz Nitzanim and Silver junction. (Rami Hipsh)

Businessman Udi Angel agreed yesterday to a sponsorship deal with the Israel Triathlon Association for 2007. Angel was an active athlete for many years and has been a regular contributor to the ITA and to individual athletes. The sides declined to disclose how much money was involved in the deal, but Chagi Pagirsky, president of the ITA, said that "I wish there were more people like Udi in Israel." (Yair Ben Ami)
