The Russian protest rock band Pussy Riot has released a new song and music video using footage from the vicious attack on them by Russian security forces in Sochi on Wednesday.

Titled "Putin will teach you how to love the motherland" in the original Russian, the song features six members of the group being attacked by security forces believed to be the Cossack militia, underneath a sign promoting the Sochi Olympic Games.

Members Maria Alyokhina and Nadezhda Tolokonnikova were freed from their two-year sentence in prison under an amnesty in December.

Since their release they have been calling for an international boycott of the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.
