The Israeli election shuffle: Who's in and who's out
Even by Israeli standards it's been a dizzying week. As Ehud Olmert and Ehud Barak decided against running in the upcoming election, Haim Katz fought a losing battle in the Likud primary.
The saga that has been with us for so many weeks - of the man who has been examining, polling and weighing whether to run in the election and spark a governmental upheaval - is over. It ended with a press release stating that Ehud Olmert has been appointed to advise Kadima's arrangements committee under Shaul Mofaz. What an anticlimax.
